Solar thermal panels, solar PV panels and a wind turbine generate renewable energy for award winning superhome!
Meet Solartwin solar panel users, Tony and Stella Richardson, who are having an open day for their superhome called Ingleside in early April.
Please book now to secure your place!
The SuperHome network, created by the Sustainable Energy Academy, is made up of older homes across UK which have been updated to improve their energy efficiency. Almost all of these properties are open to the public and you can get great advice and guidance from the homeowners.
To qualify you must to reduce the carbon footprint by 60% or more. Apparently, Tony and Stella’s figure is 73% – which astonished them!
The Richardsons were the 58th home in the country to be added to the website – do explore it generally and see whether there are any superhomes near you. Most of them are open to the public on occasions.
With the Feed in Tariffs (FIT scheme) and the forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), more people than ever will join today’s pioneers like the Richardsons.
