Report on Solartwin installation seminar: Chester, UK, 11 Nov.

A great one day solar water heating panel installers training course was had by 25 people, including entrepreneurs, plumbers, academics, builders, and roofers. The sun even shone for a time in the morning (!) and despite the blustery wind, the solar panel we set up outdoors heated water from 10C to 55C in under 10 minutes. 25 certificates of attendance were presented by seminar leader Chris Wilcox to people from as far afield as Scotland, Ireland, Sheffield and the West Country.

There were lots of questions. Areas covered in the course included: Hands on the Solartwin solar panel and associated components, what can the European solar climate really do for solar panels? What is a typical solar water heating installation? How many panels for how many people? What about water hardness and solar? Why zero carbon solar? Legionella compliance and solar heating. What does solar cost in terms of money and carbon?

Places are now available on the next Solartwin solar water heating training seminar which is on February 09. Meet the experts – get the lowdown on innovative solar technology and learn to specify and install Solartwin. Fee only £199: refunded if you order one panel on the day. Call 0845 1300 137 or 01244 403 407 to book your place now.
